WHO IS BRIELLE WALKER?
HI, my name is Brielle Walker and I’m the owner of K-9 Kennect. I’M 12 yrs. old, from Camden, New Jersey, in the 7th grade, at Mastery Cramer Hill. I make straight A’s all last school year and looking forward to doing it again. I came up with K-9 Kennect to find dogs like mines. But as I read stories and watch the news about dogs being kidnapped and attacked by other dogs and people, and being feared because of their past like “Pitbull’s & Rottweiler”, I feel as if the dog community needs to be protected.” So, I want to bring all dog lovers and owners together with my app that I am working on for the dog community to make it less risky and we can help each other out.
WHAT IS K-9 KENNECT?
K-9 Kennect will be an app/website that will be a social media platform for dog lovers, which will also provide services like walking, trackers, doggy sitting, and etc.. K-9 Kennect is not fully developed, so my team and I are selling shirts, hoodies, and hats (beanies and caps) to raise enough capital to fund K-9 Kennect the app/website
HOW DID K-9 KENNECT COME TO BE?
Well…. when I was 6 years old, my family got our first puppy. Her name was Xena and she was a Rottweiler. One day my dad and I was walking Xena and seen all theses dogs, but no other rotties. So I ask my dad where’re all the other Rottweiler’s and he didn’t know. At this time, apps and games were growing and becoming very popular. So, I thought making an app on finding dogs like yours would help create play dates with alike dogs. I then ask my dad, if it would help and he said it sounds like a great idea. 6 years later, we’ve been coming up with more to add to the app. And now, we are moving forward to pursuing my dreams.
WHY IS THERE A WEBSITE FOR MERCHANDISE, WHEN YOU’RE MAKING AN APP?
So, this website is to help my team raise capital that we need to bring my goals closer to my dream by selling our merchandise. My team and I think it would be an easier way for us to reach more people all over the country . We will be able to fund our app and events from the sells of this app.
